Catalina Express Ferry

Catalina Express takes you to Catalina Island in just an hour with year-round service and up to 30 daily departures. Boats depart ports in Long Beach, San Pedro and Dana Point. Catalina is just 22 miles off the coast of Southern California. Catalina Express’ fleet of high-speed ferries make for a quick, easy and fun getaway. 

The advantage of booking on the Catalina Express is that for a nominal fee, you can change your return trip once you arrive. This can come in handy!

  • Last ferry leaves out of Long Beach at 8pm
  • $72 roundtrip

  • Choose your date, port and time of travel.
  • $15 upgrade to the Commodore or Captain’s Lounge.

The Catalina Flyer – Newport Beach

The Catalina Flyer is a high speed, 600 passenger catamaran ferry that provides daily service to the island.  They are the largest boat serving Catalina with three decks and table style seating. 

Ticketing Options: The flyer departs only once a day from Newport Beach at 9am and from Avalon at 4:30pm.

IEX- Island Express Helicopters

A fun, 15-minute flight is all that stands between you and escape to an island far removed from your hectic world.  You may want to consider flying one way and ferrying back! They also offer tours of the island once you are there!

They depart from our heliports in either Long Beach adjacent to the Queen Mary or from San Pedro at the Catalina passenger terminal. Both our heliports share the same parking lot as most Catalina boats.
